Meridians:
feminism, race, transnationalism

The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology

Meridians, an interdisciplinary feminist journal, provides a forum for the finest scholarship and creative work by and about women of color in US and international contexts. The journal engages the complexity of debates around feminism, race, and transnationalism in a dialogue across ethnic, national, and disciplinary boundaries. Meridians publishes work that makes scholarship, poetry, fiction, and memoir by and about women of color central to history, economics, politics, geography, class, sexuality, and culture. The journal provokes the critical interrogation of the terms used to shape activist agendas, theoretical paradigms, and political coalitions.

The The Journal of Latin American and Caribbean Anthropology welcomes contributions that integrate anthropological theory, innovative new ethnography, and interdisciplinary approaches. The JLACA maintains an inclusive geographical scope that includes diasporic populations throughout the Americas and regional comparisons of lived experience in Latin American, Asian, and African communities. The journal’s purview also includes global processes—migration, climate change, indigenous movements, social media’s growth, drug trafficking, and authoritarianism among others –that interconnect different regions within the Americas and the Americas with other world regions.

Women & Language

Women & Language is an international interdisciplinary  peer-reviewed journal that provides a feminist forum and publishes original scholarly articles and creative work covering all aspects of communication, language, and gender.
